1. Choose the right marketing channels
It’s important for you to know your target audience and the marketing channels they use the most. You can find this out by analysing your marketing metrics and seeing which channels have performed the best. Knowing this will save you time, energy, and money. There are multiple channels to choose from such as:
- Social Media – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest.
- Email Marketing – you can include seasonal offers / campaigns in newsletters
- Search Engines – SEO, Google ads, and you can post offers on your Google business listing
- Traditional Marketing – radio, TV, newspapers, magazines, brochures/flyers
2. Offer Christmas or pre-Christmas sales / discounts
During the Christmas season, people are shopping more than usual and are on the lookout for as many sales and discounts that they can get. Offering a holiday sale / discount has been proven to boost sales for businesses during the Christmas season. You can promote these sales / discounts in a holiday campaign which will grab your customer’s attention.
3. Create gift guides
Creating a gift guide gives you the opportunity to help your customers with their holiday shopping, attract more customers and improve your SEO. You can include these gift guides in a blog post, a social media post or a YouTube video. The best way to create a gift guide is to have your target audience in mind, the more specific the better, and be sure to include some of your products or services in the gift guide!
4. Offer free things
As customers are up to their ears with holiday shopping, offering something free to them will be like a breath of fresh air. It is the season of giving after all! This can encourage customers to buy from your business which will then boost your sales. There are many things you can offer such as free shipping, free gift cards, or free products/samples of products with their purchase.
5. Improve your SEO
Improving your SEO, especially during this time of year, is a great way to boost traffic to your website. Focus on targeting queries that are relevant to your specific target audience. You can also use popular SEO keywords that are used during the Christmas season.
6. Make a seasonal landing page
Making a campaign-specific landing page gives you the opportunity to give your landing page a holiday theme. This seasonal landing page should be used to promote a holiday campaign / sale / offer. Your conversion rates are highly likely to increase after doing this!
7. Take advantage of email marketing
Email marketing is an easy and free way to market your business this season. A good email campaign can easily put your customers in the Christmas spirit! You can use email marketing to promote your holiday sales / offers and campaigns. Writing an effective subject line is so important to make sure your emails are intriguing to customers in order to be opened.
8. Google Ads campaign
Doing a Google Ads campaign can help you reach a wider audience of new customers, and we highly recommend you do it. Keep in mind your target audience and what they will be searching for during this holiday season.
